Cobolt Speechmaster Talking Pedometer Watch Instructions Button Layout: The top left button: This button is used to turn on the EL backlight. The top right button: This button is used to access the time/date. First press announces time, second press announces date, third press announces calories/mileage. The bottom right button: This button is used to access the pedometers data. First press announces steps, second press announces calories/mileage, third press announces the previous day’s steps. The bottom left button: This button is used to cycle through the modes: time, stopwatch, countdown, alarm 1, alarm 2, alarm 3, alarm 4, alarm 5, hourly chime. Sleep Mode: Your watch has a sleep mode. To activate the watch from sleep mode press and hold the top right button for 5 seconds until your watch has woken up. To put the watch back into sleep mode, press in and hold the top right and bottom left buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds until you watch displays SHIP on the face. Your watch will now not speak until you wake it up again. To Set the Time/Date: Press and hold the top left button for approximately 2 seconds until the watch says set minute. Use the top right and bottom right buttons to set the desired minute before using the bottom left button to scroll to the next setting. With every press of the bottom left button you will enter a new setting in the following order: minute, hour, year, month, day, unit, height, weight. Repeat the process used for setting the minutes until eventually you have set the time and date on your watch. Once you have the desired settings, either leave the watch for a few seconds until it confirms it is set or press the top left button at any time to confirm your changes. To Set Alarm: Using the bottom left button, cycle through the modes until you reach alarm 1. Once the alarm is selected, press and hold the top left button to enter the time setting, use the top right and bottom right buttons to set the minute and then one press of the bottom left button to change to hour setting, again use the top right and bottom right buttons to set the hour. When cycling through the alarms using the bottom left button, the bottom right hand button can be used to either turn the alarms on or off. The top right button can be used to get the status of the chosen alarm i.e whether the time has been set and whether the alarm is on or off. To Use Hourly Chime: Using the bottom left button, cycle through the menu until the watch says “hourly chime”. You can then use the bottom right button to switch the hourly chime on or off. To Use Stopwatch: Use the bottom left button to cycle through the menu until the watch says “stopwatch”. You can then use the bottom right button to start or stop the stopwatch. In order to reset the stopwatch, firstly ensure that it is paused before pressing and holding the top right button to reset it. To Use Countdown Timer: Using the bottom left button, cycle through the menu until you reach “countdown”. When on the countdown timer, press and hold the top left button for 2 seconds to enter the time setting. Use the top right and bottom right buttons to adjust the minutes. Once the minutes are set, use the bottom left button to select the hours and again use the top right and bottom right buttons to adjust the hours. Once the desired time has been set, use the bottom right button to start/stop the countdown timer. When the countdown is running, you can use the top right button to check the remaining time. If you wish to reset the countdown timer, ensure the countdown is paused before pressing and holding the top left button for approximately 1 second. The countdown timer will automatically beep every second during the final 5 seconds. To use the Pedometer: The pedometer is constantly counting, it resets the step count to zero every night at 12am. You can manually reset the step count by pressing and holding the top right button for 5 seconds until the watch says “steps reset”. For accuracy you will need to input your height and weight into the watch. To do this, press and hold the top left button to enter the time setting mode, then use the bottom left button to scroll through until you reach unit. Change the units to metric or imperial, these are the units you will use to enter your weight and height i.e centimeters and kilograms or inches and pounds. Then use the bottom left button again to scroll to the height page and use the top right and bottom right buttons to input your height then repeat again for your weight.
