COLOUR VIDEO MAGNIFIER TEXT INSTRUCTIONS Inside your box you should have the following items: - Magnifier - Power adaptor - USB Cable - TV-Out cable - HDMI cable - User manual SAFETY AND MAINTENANCE To keep the magnifier in good condition, observe the following guidelines. 1) Read the user manual before attempting to use the unit. 2) Do not attempt to repair the magnifier or open its case. This product contains no user serviceable parts. 3) Keep the magnifier away from wet areas, rain and other sources of liquid. DO NOT submerge the unit. 4) Always operate the magnifier in a place where the temperature is between 0°C/32°F and 45°C/113°F. 5) Always store the magnifier in a cool dry place at normal room temperature. 6) Do not attempt to force any connector into the units USB and micro-SD slot. All appropriate connections will easily fit into the port. BUTTON LAYOUT On the right hand side of the screen you will find a vertical column of 5 buttons, from top to bottom these are: - Increase Zoom - Decrease Zoom - Colour Mode Selection - Screenshot - Power on/off Along the bottom edge of the product you will find an additional 6 buttons, from left to right these are: - Near/Far camera switch - Settings menu - Up - Down - Delete - Playback USING THE MAGNIFIER Turn on the Magnifier using the Power on/off button. You can use the "increase zoom" and "decrease zoom to increase or decrease the magnification as you prefer. Use the "colour mode selection" button to cycle through the magnifiers 7 different colour modes as follows: - Full Colour - Black on White - White on Black - Yellow on Black - Yellow on Blue - Blue on White - Blue on Yellow You can use the "screenshot" button to freeze the screen image, press the button again to release the image. If you press and hold the "screenshot" button for 3 seconds the magnifier will capture the image on the screen and save it to the micro-SD card. Captrued photos are available only in full colour mode. Press the "playback" button to view captured photos. You can press the up and down keys to manually move through the library. Pressing the "playback" button again will return the magnifier to reading mode. When viewing your capture library, if you want to delete and image you can press the "delete" button. DOWNLOAD CAPTURED IMAGES TO PC Connect the magnifier to the PC via USB cable, power on the magnifier and then press the "screenshot" button to enter into mass storage. You can no access and download the captured images to your PC. OUTPUT TO MONITOR WITH HDMI-IN Connect the magnifier with the monitors HDMI-IN via HDMI cable, turn the power on and then you can see live video on the monitor. OUTPUT TO MONITOR WITH TV-IN Connect the magnifier with the monitors TV IN via TV-IN cable, turn the power on and you can see the live video on the monitor. CHARGING THE MAGNIFIER If the battery is low, please turn off the magnifier and charge it by using the supplied power adaptor to connect the 5v/USB port. The charge indication LED will be on during the charging and will turn off when the magnifier is fully charged. The charging time is around 5 hours from flat. Note - Please always turn the magnifier off while charging it. NEAR/FAR CAMERA SWITCH You can press the "near/far camera switch" button to alternate between having the magnifier as a reading aid and having the magnifier as a digital camera. At far camera mode, the colour background is full colour mode only. SETUP MENU INTRODUCTION To access the setup menu, press the "settings menu" button, while in the settings menu you can use the up/down keys to navigate the menu and the "screenshot" button to confirm.
