T21 Talking LCD Alarm Clock with Spoken Temperature The features of your T21 Talking Clock are described below. Please note when setting the clock hold it in your hands. This will prevent the time being spoken every time you push down on the clock. On the top of the clock in the middle is a circular flat TALK button. When this is pressed in normal mode the clock will announce the time followed by the temperature. However, pushing anywhere on the clock whilst on a flat surface will announce the time and temperature. In front of the TALK button are four other function buttons. The one on the far left is the MODE button, the second one is the SET button, the third button across is the UP button and the forth is the DOWN button. To set the time and date hold down the SET button until you hear a beep, the hours will now flash, use the UP and DOWN buttons until you hear the correct time spoken. Push the set button again and the minutes will flash, again use the UP or DOWN buttons until the correct minutes are spoken. Push the SET button again and the year will flash, push the UP or DOWN buttons until the required year is selected. This will not be spoken when you do this so a sighted person will need to help. Push the SET button again and the UP and DOWN buttons to change the month and the same to change the date. Push the SET button again and the correct time and date will now be displayed. To set the Alarm press the MODE button until you hear a beep. Hold down the set button until you hear another beep, the hours will now flash. Use the same procedure as for setting the time using the UP and DOWN and SET buttons. Once the hours and minutes are set push the SET button again and this will allow you to set the alarm tone. The one that is already set will sound but to change this you can use the UP and DOWN buttons to scroll through the 13 different sounds. Press the SET button to confirm the sound you have chosen. Whilst in alarm mode you can turn the alarm on and off. To do this press the DOWN button. Pressing this once will display a picture of a small bell and the snooze sign. This means the alarm is on with a snooze function. If you push the down button twice it will leave the alarm on but remove the snooze function and if you push it a third time it will turn alarm off. When the alarm goes off you can push the MODE, SET, UP or DOWN button to turn it off, or the large circular button in the middle will activate the SNOOZE function. The snooze function is for 5 minutes and can be used a maximum of ten times. When in normal time mode you can set the clock with an hourly report. To do this press the UP button. If the number 24 is displayed at the bottom of the clock it means the clock will chime or speak every hour for 24 hours. If you push the UP button again, so the number 16 is displayed, the clock will announce the hour every hour between the times of 6am and 9pm. Once you have selected which hourly report you require you need to turn it on by pressing the MODE button to enter alarm setting and press the UP button. There are two choices, the first is like a pac man sign which will announce the time and temperature every hour or if you push the UP button a second time this will display a musical note which will play a musical tune every hour. Push the UP button a third time to turn the hourly report function off. You can change between a 12 or 24 hour clock by pressing the DOWN button whilst in normal time mode and the temperature can be changed between celsius and fahrenheit if you push the set key whilst in normal time mode. The battery compartment is situated on the bottom of the clock and requires 2 x AA Alkaline Batteries. Modified 18/03/2020
