MOUSE MAGNIFIER CONTENTS: 1 x MOUSE MAGNIFIER with power/video cable 1 x POWER ADAPTOR 1 x CARRY BAG LAYOUT OF THE MAGNIFIER The magnifier is a similar shape to a large computer mouse. Hold the magnifier as you would a computer mouse with the top control buttons at the end furthest away from you. Located on the left side of the magnifier is the power on/off button. This is a slide switch. Slide the switch forward for on and backwards for off. On the top of the unit there are four controls. The left button is the 'mode' button. This switches between the modes i.e. full colour, black text on a white background, white text on a black background, yellow on black background, blue on yellow background, blue on white background and yellow on blue background. The central button is a plus and minus magnification button. This increases and decreases the magnification. To increase the magnification press the end of this button which is furthest away from you. To decrease use the end which is closest to you. The right button is the freeze frame mode. This will take a snapshot of the image you are currently magnifying/viewing. When turning the unit upside down you will feel a large cut out section which houses the camera for the device. Around this cut out section in each corner you will feel a guiding wheel. In the centre of the cut out section you will feel a ridged circle. This is the manual focus for the magnifier. You can use this to adjust the focus when the magnifier is being used to scan/read text which is further away from the magnifier, i.e. text on a black board. HOW TO USE THE MOUSE MAGNIFIER 1. Insert the small end of the power adaptor into the socket end of the Y shaped power/video connection cable. 2. Insert the remaining RCA jack on the power/video connection cable into your TV's video output connector. Refer to your television owner's manual for more information on these connectors. 3. Turn on your television. You may need to switch your TV to an appropriate input channel. 4. Turn on the mouse magnifier by sliding the on /off switch on the magnifier forward. 5. Put the video magnifier onto the item you wish to read and the image will be displayed on your TV. 6. Functions; a) You can now use the magnification buttons to increase and decrease the size of the text displayed on the TV. b) You can also use the mode button to change full colour, black text on a white background, white text on a black background, yellow on black background, blue on yellow background, blue on white background and yellow on blue background. c) You can use the freeze frame button to take a snap shot of the image you are reading. To unfreeze the image, press the freeze frame button again. SAFETY The video magnifier and base are not waterproof, therefore please ensure to in a dry place and away from liquids. Use only the power adaptor supplied with the unit. Other adaptors may damage the unit and affect the warranty.
