ELECTRIC IRON GUARD INSTRUCTIONS About your Iron Guard: It has 2 polyethylene rods which surround the edge of the iron and act as a guide for the free hand while protecting the hands from burning. The guard is quick and easy to use and attaches to most irons. How to attach to your iron: Note: Once the bolts are unscrewed, the section with the bolts on can become separate to the two sides of the frame. If this happens feel for the open gaps on one side of the metal frame and line the edge up with the edge of the metal piece with the bolts on and push together. Ensure the bolts are in place before placing frame sides under iron handle. The 2 polyethylene rods are attached to each other by a black metal frame. This has two screw bolts on the top. Undo these screw bolts to allow the 2 polyethylene rods to come apart. Each side of the metal frame can then be placed under the handle of your iron with the rods on the outside. Once in place under the iron handle align the edges of both sides of the metal frame, ensuring they connect together and line up. Once the frame and rods are in place tighten the bolts on the top. Before going on to use your iron ensure the two sides are secure and bolts are tightened and cannot come apart. Note : If required allow your iron to cool before removing the iron guard.
